Accessibility Statement
Last updated:
TaskVerdict is committed to making its website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. This statement describes the accessibility of taskverdict.com.
Conformance status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. This is the level required by:
- Israel — Israeli Standard IS 5568 (based on WCAG 2.1 AA) under the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013;
- European Union — the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) through the harmonised standard EN 301 549;
- United States — Section 508 and the WCAG 2.1 AA benchmark generally applied under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Status: partially conformant. We believe the site meets WCAG 2.1 AA except for the limitations listed below, which we are fixing.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML with landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer), one main heading per page and an ordered heading structure.
- A "Skip to content" link as the first item on every page; full keyboard operation of all menus, the language switcher, the Ask chat, example buttons and the cookie settings dialog, with a clearly visible focus indicator. Menus close with the Escape key.
- The Ask chat: labelled text box, inline error messages linked to the field, answers announced to screen readers through a status message without moving your focus, and every answer marked up with headings and lists.
- Text and interface colours meet WCAG AA contrast ratios; links in text are underlined; information is never conveyed by colour alone (test status labels are written out, e.g. "NOT YET TESTED").
- Text alternatives for meaningful images and icons; decorative icons are hidden from assistive technology.
- Content reflows on small screens and at 400% zoom; text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content.
- Animations and smooth scrolling are reduced when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Every page declares its language and text direction; Hebrew and Arabic pages are laid out right-to-left; English passages inside translated pages are marked as English so screen readers pronounce them correctly.
- No time limits, no flashing content, no CAPTCHA puzzles of our own.
- We do not use an accessibility overlay widget; accessibility is built into the code.
How we test
Automated checks with axe-core (WCAG 2.0/2.1 A and AA rules) on the home page with a chat answer, a ranking page, a tool page, a comparison page, the methodology page, the legal pages and translated home pages, at desktop and mobile sizes — 0 serious or critical issues at the last audit. Manual checks: keyboard-only navigation, focus order and visibility, zoom/reflow and right-to-left layout in current Chrome. Last audit: 2026-10-08.
Known limitations
- Test evidence galleries (images and audio/video outputs produced by the AI tools we test) may lack detailed descriptions or transcripts while a test round is in progress; we add them when results are published. Contact us and we will describe any item for you.
- Content in other languages: rankings, tool pages and test results are in English only; translated pages currently cover the home page and Ask chat (and this statement in Hebrew). Ask answers are written in your language, while tool facts appear in English.
- External sites we link to (tool vendors, pricing pages) are outside our control and may not be accessible.
- Manual testing with every screen reader (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack) has not yet been completed for all pages; it is scheduled for the next audit.
