TaskVerdict

Independence & disclosure

Short version: TaskVerdict is independent and tests products hands-on. Some links are affiliate links: we may earn a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you. This never affects our rankings.

Our promise: We rank AI tools by how well they do a specific job, based on tests we actually ran.

  1. Rankings are not for sale. No company can pay for a position, a score, a "best" badge or the removal of criticism. Commercial relationships (affiliate commissions, sponsorships, free access or credits) never affect our rankings or scores.
  2. How we make money. Some links on TaskVerdict are affiliate links: if you buy through them we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. We may also show clearly labeled sponsorships or ads, and we may offer paid subscriptions. Many tools we rank, including some of our top picks, pay us nothing.
  3. Separation of roles. Rankings are set by the Testing Lab's published methodology. The people who manage partnerships do not edit scores. Affiliate availability is not a scoring input — in our code, the ranking logic cannot even read affiliate data.
  4. Free access and credits. Vendors sometimes give us reviewer accounts or test credits. We disclose this on each review ("Access: provided by vendor" / "Access: paid by TaskVerdict"). Free access never guarantees coverage or a positive result.
  5. Measured vs. judged. Each review separates Measured results (speed, cost, pass/fail tasks, error rates) from Editorial judgment (subjective quality ratings, usually from multiple evaluators). We never present opinion as fact.
  6. No fake data. We never publish invented user reviews, tests that did not happen, or fabricated benchmarks. Tools we have not tested are labeled "NOT YET TESTED."
  7. Evidence & dates. Every result shows the test date, product/model version and plan used. We keep the original outputs.
  8. Corrections. Vendors and readers can submit corrections at [email protected]. We verify each one, and if we were wrong we fix the page and log the change publicly.
  9. Sponsored content is always labeled "Sponsored" and is never mixed into rankings.

How affiliate links work here

Outbound "Visit" buttons go through a short redirect (/go/tool-name/) so we can count clicks without cookies. If we have an approved affiliate program for that tool, the redirect uses our affiliate link and the button says so; otherwise it goes straight to the official website. Either way, the tool's position in our rankings is the same.

User reviews

User reviews are moderated. Reviews are labelled Verified only when we can confirm real usage (for example, a work email or a receipt). Only verified reviews count toward a tool's user rating. Reviews by people affiliated with a vendor are labelled or excluded.
